Ok from my phone & paying for the time so just a short note for now. Sorrento was lovely! Our hotel was actually in Sant'Angello, a division of Sorrento. We were one Circumvensuviana (CV) stop from the center of town. We took the public bus to Amalfi, up the mountains, across the mountains, down the mountains, on roads that are NOT built for big buses. Barbara & I were a little green upon arrival in Amalfi. Seemed better going back. It is beautiful there & we really enjoyed the trip. Met an Air Force pilot & his wife going to Positano for a mini- honeymoon before he goes to Afghanistan. Yesterday we went to Pompeii, amazing that it is still there considering it was built before Christ times, and the disaster was in 79 AD, yet the buildings still stand. We really enjoyed Sorrento & never made it to Capri or Naples, not enough time.
Today we returned to Rome for 3 nights, then off to Florence. We will try to get to an Internet cafe to load pictures. Boy! They really spoiled us in Spadula!
